SOOO Proud!!!

My little sis, Missy (or 'Melissa' as most people call her, I just can't) just started her own blog!!! I feel like the proud parent. Now I can see pictures of my adorable nephew Ethan who will be a year in March and snoop in her life whenever I want!! My brother in law Jake started one a few weeks ago too with my other super cute nephews Will & Nate. Hopefully he will update it soon with some new pictures (hint hint....)

A Boys Weekend

Ty had quite the busy weekend with Daddy. On Saturday Eric, Ty, Zolt & Zachy went to the NASCAR races in Fontana. They got there in time to see the motorcross stunts and then they found their seats....and then it started to rain. They stayed for two hours of chilly rain delay and finally gave up. The boys had a great time despite never seeing a car go a lap. Maybe next time.

On Friday night our good friend Mark (he works at Casino Morongo as a chef) got tickets to the boxing event there. Eric drove up Ty & Peyton and met him. This was a HUGE hit with the boys. They got to see lots of boxing matches, pretend punch each other out & bond with Daddy. Ty can't wait to go again. The best part of it for me was that I got to go hang out with Vern and Drew since our husbands & sons were bonding. The twins love Drew and all of her 'different' toys, by that I mean stroller, tea set, dolls....Vern & I had a blast with salsa, guac & Margaritas and I helped her make favors for her best friend's baby shower. I was quite creative with the chocolate covered pretzels. You can see our work of art if you click on my blog buddy under Vern.

My boys with the Champ, he was on the show 'Contender'.

Just in case you ever wondered if hot pads had another use.....

Mason & I went to get the LA Times on Sunday and had a beautiful view of where we live. There's not much better than cloudy mountains, palm trees and a rainbow first thing in the morning.

Annual Wine Tasting Trip

This past weekend we went to Temecula for our annual wine tasting trip with friends. We had a blast & visited South Coast where Eric & I are members, Wiens, Oak Mountain (Troy is a member) and Frangiopani. While not a big fan of the Frangiopani wines, they have a great outdoor area with tables and two lawn bowling areas. This was our last stop and we set up our snack and got out the bocce balls. Temecula is really beautiful but unfortunatley all of the vines are bare this time of year.
Julie, Tasha & me, I appear to be singing but Eric caught me mid-sentence. Odd, a picture of me talking....
Our group-Tash & Zolt, Julie, Danny & Kathleen (friends from San Diego) Eric & Me, Troy & Rob.

Friends & Valentines

Last week Vern stopped by with Drew & Peyton after a trip to the dentist. Drew was quite proud of her newly cleaned pearly whites and the boys were most admiring of them!!
Lukey is gearing up for pool season...he sort of has the right idea but I hope they both learn to swim by summer.
On Valentine's I fed the kids early and gave them their gifts-suckers & a new Power Rangers movie. The power of candy and a movie is priceless. We actually got to eat & enjoy dinner in peace, and spend more than 5 minutes doing it.
My special valentine- together 9 years, 3 beautiful & amazing boys, countless smiles.

Sad day.....

It makes you think every time it happens, what if this was my sister, brother or friend, and now that I have kids- my son or daughter....I graduated from NIU in 1994. Makes me cry... My heart, thoughts & prayers goes out to everyone touched by this.

Gunman opens fire on Ill. campus; six dead
16 others injured; shooter kills self on stage after targeting students

.DEKALB, Ill. - A former graduate student armed with two handguns and a shotgun opened fire Thursday in a large lecture hall on the campus of Northern Illinois University, killing five students and wounding 16 others before killing himself, authorities said.
University President John G. Peters said six students — four women, the shooter and another man — were killed in what he described as a “very brief, rapid-fire assault.” Sixteen other students were injured by gunfire or flying glass, authorities said.
All of the victims were students, including the shooter and the instructor, a graduate teaching assistant, who survived, Peters said. Two of the survivors were in critical condition Thursday night

Family Weekend & Mickey Mouse

This past weekend both of my sisters, their husbands & their kids (all boys by the way) came down to visit. Missy & Jono (from KC) were only here for one night and then they left Ethan with my parents and went to San Diego for their anniversary (lucky). Betsy, Brady, Joel & Chase came down from Richland, WA where it is very chilly now!! Chase plays ice hockey so Ty could not wait for him to come down to skate with him. Chase is a great skater and it was very cute watching Ty try to keep up.
On Friday Betsy's family, me, Ty & my dad went to Disneyland. Ty was in heaven and loves all of the rides, dark, scary, wet, you name it, he's game for it!!

Ty in the new Nemo ride. Not so exciting of a ride but do to the fact my brother in law broke his heel in a million pieces a few months ago and had to have a wheelchair, we were conveniently able to get on some rides quite quickly!!

Snuggly Babies and a Bowling Party

Last Saturday I heard some talking going on in the twins bedroom at 5:45am, WAY too early for me to be entertained by them but I went into their room and it was the cutest thing ever.....Luke had climbed into bed with Mason and they were giggling, patting each other on the face "Hi Lutzy, Hi Macy". That moment is what makes all of the screaming, fighting, whining so so so worth it!!! (the room was still pretty dark but the flash brightened it up a lot!) They like me to carry both of them "Momma hold two babies?" and Mason will correct Luke if he says it "Momma hold two BIG boys". Having these guys be the same age is so cool and watching the relationship they each have with Ty is pretty amazing, they are all so similar & different at the same time.
Peyton had a pirate bowling party last week for his 6th birhday and most of the kids wore pirate themed outfits. Ty had a blast!

Nic is 3

Last Sunday our neighbor Nic had his 3rd birthday party. It's so cool having a next door neighbor with a son around the same age. We joke about cutting a door in our fence when the boys get older. When we moved into our neighborhood in 2003 Ty was the only kid on the block, now there are 10 boys within 6 houses on our street and Ty is the only two weeks younger than the oldest boy, Roman. I have a feeling we are in for some mischief in the years to come.....
Nic is two years younger than Ty and 8 months older than the twins but is probably bigger than Ty!!!
Ty having a go at the 'little' pinata.
Ty always has to get in next to the birthday boy, last night he requested sparkler candles like those on Nic's cake for his next birthday and a pull out couch for Christmas. We went to our friends Chuck & Mary's for dinner on Saturday and they have two older boys and they watched a movie on the pull out in the living room while we finished dinner. Funny how things like that seem so cool!!
