Red sox and the trolley.

The view from our hotel.

Monday night we went to see the Red Sox take on the Twins at Fenway.  I have been outside a few times but never inside for a game, pretty epic.

Our pedi-cab home.

The guys.

Me and the sis at Boston Bierworks pregame.

Love the D Nasty.

Drew loved it!!

Tuesday we took the trolley and our first stop was MIT.  We saw the memorial for the security guard killed by the Boston Marathon bomber.

A highlight, the MIT museum.

Gloucester and the Ducks in Mass

Luke and Mason got to drive the famous Boston Duck on the Charles River on Monday.

Sunday we took the boys to Gloucester Mass for the day.  Eric wanted to see where the film Wicked Tuna.  The town did not disappoint!  We happened on the the last day of their biggest festival of the year, the St. Peter's Fiesta.  They honor the  patron Saint of the Fisherman with boat races and the greasy pole competition.

Boston Common.

The lock in Gloucester.

We went to Cape Ann Brewing for lunch.

And watched the rowers get ready.

The whole town migrated so we just followed.  Boat races first.

The highlight of the day, the greasy pole contest.  65 pounds of crisco and you need to get the Sicilian flag at the end.  The weather was crazy, went from clear to cloudy and cold to clear again.

Such a cute town!!

We didn't try the McDonalds lobster roll but Eric got his oysters.

The finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Boston Common walk.
A great start to our Mass trip.

A night out and New Hampshire

From Minnesota we flew to Boston to go spend a few days at Melissa and Jono's new house in Bedford, NH.  Miss had a cake all ready for my birthday and on Friday we headed to a hike in the woods...ticks and all.

Their new house has it's own pond, full of frogs and snakes and small fish, they kids were occupied for hours searching.

Exploring the rocks in Rye NH.

A catch from the pond by Luke.

Me and the girls on my birthday!!!

A perfect shot.

My birthday date.

We headed to Surley and met Zack and Jessi there for dinner.  The food was great and I love the beer. The outdoor fire pit after dinner was perfect!

My cake by Melissa.

I think Syd got every single Hershberger to carry her at one point on the hike.

Frogs and snakes, perfect for little boys.

Cousins.
