Life in Auburn

Last weekend we loaded the family, Julie included, and headed up to Auburn/Sacto for a weekend with Emily & Iven. Lucky for us Eric's sister Jill & her husband Jon also live close by. It was so worth the drive and we all had such a great time hanging out with Em & I and the Rossi's. We did so much in a few days it will take a few posts...but here is pictures of Luke & Mason at Em's mom's house. She has a preschool and 5 acres and grows every kind of fruit except pina & papaya and has chickens, pigs....you get the picture-lots of fun stuff we don't have here at home that the kids marveled at. Here is Luke checking out the pigs.

They had a blast collecting eggs and they had them for breakfast.

Both hunting fresh eggs.

Picking fresh raspberries. I think they each ate a carton, we didn't have too many left for daddy or Ty.

It's such a great place, seems like the country but not. Thanks Lorrie for letting us come hang out at your house & showing us around!

Double Date

I am a bit behind but last weekend we had the pleasure of a double date with our good friends the Sickenberger's. They took us to El Mirasol for some great food, fantastic margaritas & the best company we could ask for.

We were even treated to a beautiful sunset over downtown Palm Springs.

And here are our fab babysitters, Sabrina & Haley. They are great and the kids love them. Sabrina was Eric's TA years ago and starting watching our kids when the twins were babies. We are lucky to have them.

Just a few more from the river.

I think hands down the one of us that had the most fun was Cali. At nine years old today she still acts like a puppy sometimes.

Mason scoping out the water & trying to keep his pants on his non-bootie.

My handsome boys and the sunset.

The River

This weekend we were lucky enough to be asked by friends to go stay at their houseboat on the river in Needles, AZ. I have never been so I was really excited and the boys are the perfect age. Joey & Lori have a 16 year old girl and she brought a friend and they turned out to be great babysitters! Ty mustered up the courage to go down the slide & loved it. Luke, Mace & I opted out.

The boys loved swimming around the boat. The water was chilly but the weather was great.

Our home for two nights. I have never been on a house boat, it was really fun, like camping on the water. Nothing fancy but when you get to sleep under the stars and play all day, not much else matters.

Ty getting a bird's eye view.

3 very tired boys after a full morning of fun. They slept through music, people going down the slide, loud boats going by, there were out!!
