Big Bear!!!

We spent this past weekend up in Big Bear at little townhouse just outside of town, the boys had their second lesson and killed it! The pictures are a little out of order, snowboarding Saturday then sledding on Sunday, mine and Eric's got messed up but you get the idea!

The little ones after the morning lesson.

Taking a rest in the snow.

It was a gorgeous day, sunny, warm and so pretty up there.  We got to see a ski exhibition and the deck was packed, DJ and all.  You can't beat 55 degrees, sunshine, a fun crowd and lots of snow.

Ty and Mason before a run down the mountain on the tubes, another beautiful day.

Best thing about sledding here, a people mover to get you up the mountain, no climbing up for us.

Snowboarding pics, round 2.

I love their goggles up on their heads!

Watching the ski tricks.

Mason was so proud of himself after his second lesson and he got to go up 2 different lifts.  Luke was not feeling well after lunch so I went back to rest with him, but the other boys went all out.  Lucky for them Julie was with us and took them for some more runs after the afternoon lesson.

My little one with the tummy ache.

Lucky for us Lukey felt better Sunday to have fun with the tubing , he hated missing out on the afternoon Saturday.

A nothing weekend that turned out filled with fun stuff!

On Friday of this past 3 day weekend Ty had his best friend Nick from school over for dinner and a sleepover.  We went to Fisherman's of course and the boys were all great.

On Saturday there were a ton of people walking thru our neighborhood for a 'historic modernism walking tour' so the boys asked if they could do a lemonade stand, quite clever of them and they made bank!!!  Ty made a sign and got a little mad when Mason drew a heart on it, but it worked great and they all worked so well together.  It also occupied them for about 3 hours while Eric and I did chores in and around the house.

Saturday night it was off to the ice skating rink for another birthday party.  This time for our neighbor Tristen.

Vern and I for our customary pic.

Luke & Drew

My only good picture of Roman, about the same amount I got to see of Kerri & Niko!!  They came home for one night so we got to see them and Roman spent the night.  Monday Eric and I took all four boys on a bike ride downtown for a treat.  And this past weekend, Big Bear!!  Lots of pics to come.....

Disneyland!

I took the day off  yesterday and surprised the boys with a trip to Disneyland.  Julie joined us and it was such a great day!  It's so nice that they are at the age where we can just load them in the car and go.  And what made it even nicer is that they were great to each other too.  (most of the time)

A stop for treats.

Testing out their strength in Mickey ToonTown.

The classic jungle cruise.  I know it's blurry, but I love the his cheek and the sun coming thru the trees.

My mini Chip-n-Dales.  Mason asked them if they were twins, 'cuz we're twins too' he added.

Our glasses at the new 3D Star Tours ride, my very favorite!!

The two cutest ewoks ever.  Thanks J for the tickets and the great day with my boys!!  The whole day truly made my heart happy.

Biking & Skating

On Saturday the boys and I biked down to drop Ty off with his after school group to do the 5.4 mile Tour de Palm Springs.  He was so excited and proud that he did so well.  He had a great time and after I picked him up it was straight to DHS for his last soccer game of the season.  Just in time since baseball practice started on Sunday.  Eric also rode in the Tour, he did the 65 mile on his new road bike and had a blast.  He claims the 100 mile is next.

After the game on Saturday the boys came home to a surprise gift package from Emily & Iven, they were so excited!!!

They spent the next few hours coloring.

Sunday it was off to the Ice Castle in Cathedral City for Peyton's 10th birthday party.  It was fun, and chilly!!!

Mace really enjoyed the blue cake.

Peyton and Ty went 56 laps...as fast as they could, Ty's pretty good for only skating 3 times ever.

Luke and Mace got a bit more adventurous this time and really had fun, they can't wait until next time!!!
