Anniversary, Visit & Pumpkins

Monday was our anniversary & my sister happened to be in town working so my parents came over & we all went to dinner, it was a great way to spend our evening!!
Me & little sis Missy. Can you even tell she's 7 months pregnant??? (she's in black, me in white, I think we look quite alike in this one)

Julie cam over Thursday night & helped Ty finish his pumpkin carving project. It turned out great.
The boys admiring their work.

I just had to slip one in of my handsome Mace after a bath all combed & looking sweet.

The perfect anniversary gift, some pretty flowers & a card & a tabloid, he did good!!

Happy Birthday Drew!

On Sunday as soon as we got home from camping, the twins & I cleaned up and went over to Sickenberger's to celebrate Drew's 3rd birthday. It was such a cute party, 3 year olds only, and she loved her gifts-mostly Dora & dress up. Vern said she got up the next morning and looked at her gifts & smiled & said 'all mine'.

They loved the Dora Fiesta jumpy, much safer without the big boys around!!

Girls doing what girls do, admire new pretty stuff.
Vern 'supervising' the pinata.

Macy & Drew, so cute!! (Dora pinata pre-bashing)

Happy Campers

We took the boys & Cali on a one night camping trip to Idyllwild. It is so beautiful up there, leaves changing, crisp weather, pretty lake....This was Mason & Luke's 1st camp and I think it was a success. They loved their sleeping bags, woke up a bit hanging off the air mattress due to the fact we were on a bit of a slope, loved roasting marshmallows, walking around the lake, the tent, but...the chilly morning-not so much!! It was 40 degrees when we got up and they wanted nothing to do with camping once they ventured out of the tent. We had to start the car, put on the heat & a movie while Eric & I packed everything up. Everything considered, they can't wait to do it again.

Cali enjoying a swim.

They found a spot with lots of leaves and made a perfect pile for jumping. One of my favorite activities in the fall growing up and unfortunately one the boys miss out on since palm fronds are not so abundant on the ground or soft for jumping.

Happy Campers.

Chilly chilly night!!! At 8:30 the boys decided they were ready for bed (I think the novelty of the tent was calling them) so we put them to bed and Eric and I enjoyed the night. It was so great to sit & talk without phones, TV, computer or pending chores to think about!! I really enjoyed all my boys this weekend.

The Aggies

Game #2 for Ty, not as exciting as the first but still fun. I think he did a bit too much practicing and Zachy was there so it was distracting...they didn't do so good but he's still into it and can't wait to play again!!

Ty & the ever sytlish Zachy.

Mimi & Poppa came to the game, much excitement, less stress for us & hopefully fun for them!

Maui

Eric went to Maui last weekend with our neighbor, Kerri, for some fishing & golfing. They had a great time & the boys were happy daddy was home and happy with the gifts, shark tooth necklaces and an old surfboard he found stuck in the rocks.

Eric has been wanting to get an ancient Hawaiian fish hook tattoo and what better packe to get it than Hawaii!!

Wine Blessing

On Sunday Julie & I & the boys went to South Coast Winery in Temecula for the blessing of the harvest. It was so much fun, we went on a tractor ride, got to decorate pumpkins, watched grape stomping and had some great food & wine. The weather was so nice & the kids loved running around & getting their arms painted by the clown.

The tractor ride view, so pretty!

Ty showing off his snake 'tattoo' and Luke & Mace with their signature pose.

I couldn't rotate this, it came from Julie's camera, but it's Ty filling a bottle from the stomping barrels. They had a blast filling up the bottles, clearing the tube & getting nice & sticky after the grape stomping was done. None of them would get in & stomp though-I thought that would have been their favorite part!!

Soccer Started!!

Oct 18th has finally come, much to Ty's excitement! He started out his first game like a champ, scored 4 out of 6 goals and only shoved a tiny bit. (he has a small shoving problem, seems pretty common in 5 year old soccer, should come in handy in football though). It was a fun day with 2 games that kept us busy with daddy in Hawaii for the weekend.

On Friday we had a dress rehersal for Halloween, something that I beleive will be happening on a daily basis until actual Halloween!!

Wicked and the weekend..

Eric, Julie, the boys & I went to Oak Glen this morning to do some apple picking. It's about 30 minutes west and another 20 north up the mountains. It is really pretty up there & quite chilly. There was even ice on the ground from leaving the sprinklers on over night!!!
We took a tractor ride, the driver apparently didn't think Julie & Mason were with us.

On Saturday Julie, Tasha & I went to LA to see the play Wicked at the Pantages Theater. For those of you who don't know, it's a pre-Wizard of Oz story, how the wicked witch became wicked. It was such a great show, made better by lunch before the matinee at the Grove and a day with my best friends.
Ty getting all geared up for soccer!!

The Weekend

On Friday we went for a soccer meeting at Ty's coach's house. His team is the Aggies (all U6 teams this year are college mascots) and there are 5 boys on the team, 3 play at a time. It was a good meeting, a bit long, but Ty got his uniform (hence the yellow sock on Mason) and we took the boys to Fisherman's after which was great, they were so so so good, makes me want to take them out to dinner more often. Anyways, when we got up Saturday morning Luke & Mason fished out Ty's soccer socks and tried them on, more like tights to them.
I also got a good picture of Mason's hair. The have incredible bed head, looks like something out of Dr Seuss.
Saturday afternoon Eric put together our new bed frames, one king & one queen for the casita. What better is a great dad to do with a bunch of big boxes than make a super cool fort?? It even had our address, door handle, 2 windows & a drop down bar. Daddy rocks.
Then we had some neighbors over & decorated the fort....
Then we decorated our feet...It was a great weekend!!! We were going to take the boys camping but with 84 degrees here and 62 and raining in Idyllwild where we wanted to go, not a hard decision!!

Happy Boys...Happy Dog.

Ty had Dean over after school on Friday and the boys enjoyed a swim along with lots of good play time. Here are 4 very happy boys after a swim.
We got Mason & Luke their very own sleeping bags in anticipation of their first camping trip this upcoming weekend. I hope they enjoy camping as much as they are looking forward to it!!
So after 8 years of keeping Cali out of the pool, she had a full-on pool night. I'm glad she had such a great time but I hope it doesn't become a regular thing...too much dog hair in the pool is not good!

You can't see it too well but she has her retrieving toy in her mouth. It was pretty cute to see how excited she was to jump in & swim.
