Catalina Island 2012

Yesterday we were loaded up, out the door by 6am to catch the Catalina Flyer out of Newport Beach.  We are big fans.

I really love Catalina, rainy, cold, sunny or warm, it's so beautiful and relaxed.

We did the golf cart rental and had some great views,

Encountered some super friendly deer, a highlight for the boys.

Of course played some games at the arcade..

And Eric found his dream club, the Tuna Club of Catalina Island.

We checked out the old Wrigley Casino building and watched the divers going in and coming out of the chilly ocean.  I got to test Ty on his 'curse of the billy goat' knowledge and he passed with flying colors, a true Cubs fan.  Love that boy.

We had a great lunch with a fantastic view and some yummy Green Flash IPA on draft.

A long but wonderful Saturday with my favorite people!!

Around here

Last weekend Kerri, Niko, EQ and Roman came to visit for Niko's birthday and kids and adults all really enjoyed the weekend!!

A little park football.

My littles at a friday night game.

Eric took all the boys geocaching.  Success.

Eric did some riding..

And for the birthday dinner, 3 types of fish-seared tuna by Eric, lemon caper mahi mahi by Kerri and grilled halibut by me.  I think I'm beginning to appreciate my fisherman a bit more these days!!

Halloweening and buddies.

Richard Simmons and Jason, both won awards at school for their costumes.

Walk to school day on Wednesday.

Some trick or treating on the longboard.

Saturday Ty had 2 of his buddies for a sleepover and we took all the boys to the annual Los Compadres deep pit bbq for dinner and some play time in the dirt.

Some of the 8 boys sitting with me & Eric.

The sleepover was a big success and our next door neighbors had us all over for breakfast Sunday morning.  A great start to daylight savings!
