Whistler, BC

Our second day in Whistler we rented bikes and went to Green Lake and Alta.

There was a cool skate park for kids that the boys checked out at the end of our ride.  After Ty and Mason ate it...we decided it was time to return the bikes.

The drive from Whistler to Vancouver.

On 4th of July in Vancouver we rented bikes and rode around the seawall at Stanley Island.  We stayed with our lovely friends Neal and Amanda and they have already made us promise that we will come back again.

We spent Canada Day and 4th of July in Canada.  I saw lots of USA shirts on the 4th.

Fresh picked snack on Stanley Island.

Later we went to Granville Island for lunch and made a pit stop for the boys to check out the Lambo and McLaren dealership.  We also saw Mabach and Lotus & Tesla.

We had lunch at   , the BEST fish and chips we have ever had.  Everyone was so friendly.  We met a dad and his two kids who love the spot and bike there and they could not have been nicer. Very proud of their city and it was so fun to talk to them.

Meanwhile in WA, Auggie dragged one of my shirts out of my stuff and snuggled with it.

Our birds eye view of the Golden Gate Bridge when Ty and I flew home.

SF again and a small part of Neal & Amanda's fabulous wine cellar.

Whistler BC

We loaded up the boys and headed to Whistler BC for a few days.  We stayed at the Pan Pacific Mountainside in the village.  We were at the bottom of Whistler mountain and the bike park.  We could watch the bikes come down from the pool.

Sunday, July 1st was Canada Day.  The village was all set for the parade!

The sky cleared up again and we headed to the top of Whistler Mountain for the Peak to Peak.
We saw a black bear from this gondola.

The Peak to Peak spans Whistler & Blackcomb peaks.  It spans the longest distance without towers.  It's 1.1 miles at the longest part, so so so cool!!!

The boys loved the snow.  A novelty for us.

Watching the village get smaller.

Meanwhile in Washington, Auggie with his cousins.

It was COLD at the top!

Day 1-Success!!!  The whole village is so cool.  Cleanest city I have ever seen.

Netarts, OR

This was our backyard view for the week.

The catch!!

He loved the beach but didn't like getting rinsed off every time.

Tuesday we went on a 6 mile hike along some steep trails.  Everything was so green, it felt like there was so much oxygen with all of the plants.

Cape Mares Lighthouse

Auggie loved this spot. Me too!

Auggie and his cousin, Boston.

A successful day crabbing!!  They made lovely crab cakes.

Wine tasting at Kiona.

Auggie and his cousins, Kona & Boston.  We left him with them while we went on to Canada.  He was not too happy to have been left but he had lots of love and treats while we were gone.
