Pearl's Fan Club

This adorable little girl Pearl (and her mom & dad, Kim & Chad) came to visit us last week from Minnesota. I do believe that my boys are head of the Pearl Fan Club out West. They LOVED her, a bit too much some times. It was so easy to get great pictures of her because every time she sees the red light she breaks into the biggest smile, it's too cute!

Ty trying to convince her to give kisses but I inadvertently foiled that with the little red light!
Seriously, how cute us she???

Mom & dad, who we had so much fun with!

Mason getting in his turn....more to come from later on in the week.

Indiana Tristen

On Saturday we went to our neighbor's 4th birthday party with and Indiana Jones theme. Tristen's mom went all out with the decorations and his dad is a chef so the food was excellent. Towards the end it was dress up time for everyone.
Tristen got a violin from his aunt and was trying to jam with his dad.
Ty having a go at the violin.

Danielle made a bazaar area, a cave with all sorts of snakes & bugs, a tent and a sand pit to dig for treasures.

Nick is taking a class for culinary carving and made the centerpiece out of leeks, radish, carrots & parsley. I thought is was super cool.

Weekend fun & love

On Saturday my parents came over with my aunt who's visiting from Minnesota and we all went out to dinner. It also happened to be their 39th anniversary. How lucky am I to have parents who are still so in love and show it, love me & my sisters & their grandsons so much? They met while living in San Diego in the summer of 1969, set up on a blind date and they got married February 21, 1970. Last summer dad showed me their first apartment in Ocean Beach on Sunset Cliffs (I wish I had taken a picture, so cute & overlooking the ocean) and told me how he used to have to roll his car down the hill to get it started, it was kind of funny to picture! So I'm lucky, for such wonderful parents, a loving husband, fun & healthy boys, awesome sisters & amazing friends. Thanks to everyone who makes my life so happy!!! And a very happy anniversary to my p's, Cindy & Joel.

Last weekend while we were off wine tasting my p's took the boys out to a lake to go fishing (did I mention how cool my p's are??) and then had them spend the night. This is my dad & Ty showing off the monster cat they caught. Cali looks a bit interested too....
Ty & Luke with another fish, they had such a great time.

Cali 'fishing'.

This past Friday we had Zachy for a sleepover. These boys have grown up together and don't get to see each other as much as they would like now that Zachy is in 1st grade. They had so much fun and on Sunday Julie, Tash & I took them to Sunday School while we went to church. Ty can't wait to go again, maybe it's because 'I got candy and even they have a Wii!!'

A taste of Temecula!

On Sunday Eric & I and 16 of our closest friends hopped in a "Party Bus" for a trip to Temecula 'Wine Country" for a day of wine tasting (and I use the word tasting very broadly). It was SO much fun. The bus picked us up at 11 (an hour late so maybe we liberally started the day with many mimosas & bloody marys to get the day started) and we had tastes at 3 winerys then ended up with a fave for outdoor play with a little snack & bocce ball. This picture was taken at #3, Cougar, where we had a private tasting in the barrell room with a great host and lots of tattoos.....

Me & my girls.

Some of us enjoying the outdoors at Wilson Creek.

Julie walked from Cougar to Frangipani and took a picture of the bus pulling up. Below you can see our picnic/bocce area. Temecula is really beautiful, hilly, green but way more so in the fall before they harvest the grapes. Anyway you do it, it's a blast!!! With 18 people on the trip I have lots of photos to post so bear with me!! More posts to come.....

A totally rad party

On Friday Julie & I went to an 80s birthday party for our friend Sanya. We had so much fun and everyone was dressed up. There was 80s music and food, for sure brought back lots of high school memories....
My neighbor Niko came over and did our makeup and let me use her crimping iron for my hair, nice.

My partner from work, Courtney, did a spot on imitation of one of the girls from the Robert Palmer 'Addicted to Love' video. She had the dance down and never cracked a smile all night.

The birthday girl, Sanya from Jersey.

This was my first choice of an outfit, a very funny Run DMC tee but Niko deemed it not 80s enough. I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's weekend~~~

The Mills & the boys

A few weeks ago when Eric & I went to dinner with my parents, our good friends, the Mills. They took the boys to the skate park where Joe showed Ty some moves. This is Ty & Ben. I could not think of two nicer boys to have mine look up to.
A very happy Luke & Mason at the park.

Ty & Joe working on some basics.

Ty & Joe again. For superbowl we went to the Mills and Ty spent the whole day playing with Joe & Ben and their friends, they were so great with him and he had a blast!!!

A Field Trip

On Monday I took the day off of work to go with Ty's kindergarten class on a field trip to The Living Desert. I had so much fun seeing such cool stuff with 21 5 & 6 year olds. The day was nice and warm and they all had a blast. Ty and Conrad go to pet a goat....ewwwwww. (Get it, ewe?) Yup, in case you didn't know it, I'm funny. They also got to see a show & feed the griaffes.

We saw some big horn sheep which is not very common and is super cool.
The whole class with Miss Joann & Miss Suzy.

The boys. It's funny how the boys wanted to point out poop and talk about it and the girls were commenting on each other's outfits.

A Birthday Party Weekend

Saturday started out with Peyton's 7th birthday party at the bowling ally. It was so much fun and they loved the army hats they got at the end of the party.

After bowling it was off to Tyler's 6th birthday party at his house, all set up with video games & a huge jumpy with a slide. Another fun time for Ty!! That night we went to the Posa's for the UFC fight, so many parties.....

Peyton & Drew stopped by last week and Ty & Peyton had fun hopping around the backyard while...

Mason & Luke enjoyed hugging on Drew.

Julie came over during the week to make us dinner, always a treat, and she had her two helpers right by her side the whole time!
