Life Lately

Last Saturday we went downtown to do some people watching at biker weekend.  It was a success and the Sickenberger's joined us for dinner and some fun at our house.

We ended up keeping Drew for a sleepover and they all slept on the couches.

Ty went home with Peyton for a sleepover and got to do some bike riding in the morning.

Sunday Ty went to Nick's for his birthday party.  It was totally kid central.  The theme was carnival and Tia went all out.  We brought the twins up for an hour at the end and we all had a blast.

This past Thursday we went to the street fair downtown for some trick or treating.  It was pretty fun and Richard Simmons (Luke) was a hit.

My parents had a big halloween party on Friday night so they wanted the kids for a sleepover on Saturday since their house was all done up.  They went to see Hotel Transylvania and to Okura for dinner.  They also went to a haunted house near them.  My mom texted me saying I have a bunch of wussies because they had to quit halfway thru, they were too scared and Mason's hand was so sweaty from being scared that it kept slipping out of my dad's.  Sunday they all went to church and they loved it because they got to trick or treat there.

Eric and I got to celebrate our anniversary with a party at a friends house and dinner downtown at Trio, which was fabulous!

Today we did some pumpkin carving, why they had to do it in their undies is beyond me but they hit up some jacuzzi action afterwards leaving the rest of the dirty work for me & Julie.

Two weeks ago there was an airplane parade that Eric happened to catch with the boys.  They do it every 3-4 years, shut down tons of streets and parade some pretty cool planes around Palm Springs.

My boys.

Luke and Mace at their first game last week.  We decided to forgo soccer this year for winter baseball.  The twins are on the Indians and Ty is on the Incredible Heat.

While I was in Denver last weekend, Eric took the boys down to Carlsbad and went on a fishing trip with Kerri.  We now have a freezer stocked with 3 kinds of tuna.

They picked up a super cool longboard at a garage sale.

Yesterday I took them to the pumpkin patch.  A little warm but still very fun for them.  Ty's friend Nick met us there.

Love my sweet boys.

Weekend in Denver with my Sis.

For my birthday my sister Miss wanted us to go  on a little girls weekend wherever I wanted.  We chose Denver due to 6 kids between us and busy schedules and it being a quick flight for both of us.  I have to say, I LOVE Denver.

She booked the flights, the amazing room at the Ritz in Denver, a great location, and the rental car.  She even went into Fetch planning mode with the food and shopping, we are totally related. I felt like a princess and have to say I have the best sis ever!!

It was totally cloudy and rainy and COLD on Friday and Saturday but I can say as a Desert Rat, I really enjoyed it.  We went to some really cool bars/brewery's on Friday night, on Saturday we had a great breakfast with a friend of hers and her super cute baby then shopped all day.  Saturday night we with to The Kitchen Community for dinner, very hip and yummy and Sunday did more of the same.  Being a beer lover, it does not get much better than Denver.

Sunday dawned chilly and sunny and 29 degrees.  We walked 2.5 miles to a farmers market then back.  It was wonderful.  I could have walked all day looking at the parks and beautiful houses done up for fall.

On Sunday when the clouds cleared we did get some proof we were near mountains.

The drive back to the airport was bittersweet.  Laughing, loving each other's company and knowing it will be a while before we see each other again.  Anyone who has a sister is the luckiest girl in the world, I know I am.  Love you Miss!!!! Thank you for making my birthday present something we can both enjoy and remember forever!!xxoo

Parties....

Last Saturday while Eric was away at Ethan's
Bachelor party I went to Courtney and Ryan's Oktoberfest party.  They killed it with the dress up!

And this past Saturday we killed it some more at Seal Beach for Kristen's Bachelorette party!!! What a beautiful weekend.

The brave girls got their wigs on.

We had a fantastic time.  Chilling on the patio playing games, pedicures, and of course, hitting up the town. A great weekend with some super cool chicks.

Proud Mama.

Last week Luke came home with a note for Eric and me, it said Luke and Mason would be receiving awards on Friday.  I didn't tell them and after dropping them off on Friday I went and parked and snuck in the school, I wanted to surprise them.

Mason received his award for overall Student of the Month. His teacher talked about how caring he is.  My sweet boy.

And Luke received Math Student of the month.  I was busting with pride and they were so proud of themselves.  So super cute.
