Christmas 2012

The weekend started our right with a drink with some of my faves at Fresh Agave on Friday.

Saturday we had a fun night out with great friends downtown Palm Springs. 

And Sunday the fun began with the arrival of the Rossi's from Sacramento and the Schwietering's from Minnesota.  Grandma had already been here for a week rounding out the 14 of us. 

The boys made some sugar cookies for Santa and then had a decorating contest.

After the presents and breakfast, we all headed out to Indian Canyons for a good Christmas hike.  It was beautiful and great to be out in the fresh air.

A weekend

Last Friday night the twins had their last game of winter ball and got their trophies.  They had fun and a really good team....6 weeks off and then we start all over with spring ball.

After the game we went to Fisherman's for a birthday dinner for Ty.  A fave of the whole family.

On Saturday we went to an ugly Christmas sweater party and as I didn't wear a sweater, I got dressed up in a garbage bag as soon as I got there.  Those are some sweet friends I have.....  It was really fun and we spent the night at my parent's to celebrate Christmas the next morning.  

Grandma Karen arrived on Monday and 8 others arrive on Sunday for a fun filled two weeks.  Happy Holidays!!!!

He's 10

Ty turns 10 today.  Hard to believe my baby is double digits.  For his birthday he wanted a big sleepover and that's what he got!  12 nine and ten year olds for the party part with nine of them staying for a sleepover.  Tasha took the twins for a sleepover at her house which worked out great.  We played basketball, football, had a baseball park themed dinner at the bar and then had some yummy baseball cake, a huge pillow fight and the Bad News Bears for a movie.  

Pictures aren't great but it's hard to get a bunch of kids to sit still for more then a microsecond....  Dean nicely shoved his face in the cake.

A great night and Ty claimed it the best birthday ever.  He's a lucky kid to have such good friends. 

Sanibel Island FL

Eric and I went to Sanibel last weekend for the wedding of some great friends, Jon & Melissa.  We stayed at a beautiful condo and had a wonderful weekend with some of our favorite people.  Thanks to my parents and Julie for taking such good care of our boys while we were away.

Saturday Eric, Zack, Jessi and I drove up to Captiva and found the Mucky Duck.  It was a beautiful afternoon and we had drinks, walked the beach and got in the ocean. It's so much different than Cali, so calm and warm (er) and shallow. 

Saturday night we had dinner at Doc Ford's. 

Sunday we biked here for breakfast, it was good but I think world's best is going a bit far....

The wedding was absolutely beautiful, the location, the groom in bare feet, the beach..and of course, the bride.
