Two weeks ago Eric, two other teachers, one parent, 78 middle school kids & Ty went on a hike for a field trip. They did the Palm Springs Museum trail. The kids really seemed to enjoy it and Ty had so much fun with them.
On Sunday morning Julie & I took the boys to Indian Canyons to go hiking. It was a beautiful morning, lots of runoff from the mountains to feed the streams and the boys loved that we saw a lizard about every 2 minutes!!! They did great on the nearly 4 mile hike, I got a bit freaked since a couple we ran into said they had seen 2 rattlesnakes & finally turned around but we were lucky enough not to see any!It was so pretty with all of the wildflowers. We live in a beautiful place.
On Saturday we went out to Mecca to do a hike called the Ladders. It was a little scary at times with all of the rope climbs and ladders with the little ones but Eric brought some harnesses so I wasn't freaking out so much. Ty was like a little billy goat scrambling up ropes, rocks & leading the pack. It was such a pretty hike and a beautiful day. Made me remember why I love hiking so much.Luke & Mason did a great job, so excited they are at the age we can do stuff like this!!
Saturday night Tash & Zolt celebrated their 10 year anniversary party with tons of their closest friends. I have to say we have been to many Posa parties but this was the best!!Eric's mom Karen was there to celebrate along with Emily & Iven.
We had a wonderful Easter full of family and friends. Emily & Iven (newly married) were down to make the weekend complete with Grandma Karen and my parents. We had some friends over as well & played a little bag in the box and the boys even braved the chilly pool. Grandma colored eggs with the boys.Eric & Robb took on the boys in some games. On Saturday we did a hike with the amazing wildflowers, it was so pretty!! The boys had fun catching & letting ladybugs fly. Did I mention Luke's favorite person in the world was visiting???? IVEN!!! (or WA or YAI-Ven) Heart you!!
