Birthday Girl(s)

Saturday night Vern, Tash & Julie picked me up for pedi's and some champagne and the promise of a night out.

These are so out of order, but little did I know that my husband and my besties had planned a fantastic surprise birthday party for me!!  It was the best surprise ever and so so so much fun. Waiting at home for me was my family and 50 of my most favorite people in the world!!! And a taco truck...what is better than that???

Me and my P's.

My cake, mom and dad left before the lighting and had to take a piece with them.

Me & Mack.

The bootie.  The kids could not wait to open my gifts the next morning.  "Mommy, you really like wine" they said. So true.

The fire of 40.

My mustache glasses from Tash & Vern, such a fun party gift, and one I know that will get lots and lots of use!

Waiting for my arrival, I am so happy that my little ones were part of the celebration.

The best night!!  Tash texted me on Monday, I said I was still smiling from Saturday night, so true.  I am so lucky in family and friends.  Kinda makes 40 ok(ish).

And today baby girl celebrated her 12th birthday.  The boys and I went downtown to a doggie chic-chic shop to get her some goodies.  We love that fluffy girl!!!

My two front teeth.

In the past 2 weeks Mason lost 2 bottom teeth and one top, Luke had some wiggley ones but was watching in envy as the tooth fairy came for Mace.  So then, he lost the one bottom tooth and kept pushing the top two out forward, not a pretty look.  Finally on Wednesday night the boys went out to play basketball and Luke came in with a bloody mouth.  He got hit with the ball and they were both more wiggley.  He then wiped the blood away and proceeded to pull his front two teeth out one at a time (took about 5 minutes and lots of napkins) while Eric and Ty cheered him on and Mace and I cringed.  For sure a Daddy's boy.  He was so proud of himself!!!

The tooth fairy is going broke...

The mighty mighty Indians

Ty played on an awesome team this year.  Sure I didn't think it was that awesome when he had 4 hour Sunday morning practices but he got so much better this year and his team was so much fun.  All year Coach said every game was practice for tournament.  And tournament rolled around this year to a weekend in the 110's degrees.

We won our two games on Saturday. Ty got to pitch a few inning and did really good.  Lots of rules as to how many inning a pitcher can pitch, etc, needless to say I learned a lot about baseball this year too.

Sunday we played at 8 and lost (double elimination so we went to loser bracket)  We played at 10 and won so we played the undefeated team at 12 that had beat us at 8.  Now it's about 110 and these boys are hot, tired and hungry.  We won our 12 game and pumped the boys with pedialyte and moved on to the championship game at 2, and we won!!!!  The boys were so very excited and Coach even had a tear in his eye.

The Champs.

Mr Excitement.

Coach promised to take everyone to Knott's Soak City if we got to the championship game and since we did and then went on to win he went all out.  I think Eric and the boys and I ended up spending 7 1/2 hours there.  I went on more waterslides that one day then I have combined every other time I have gone.  It was so fun.

Eric got a plaque and hug for assistant Coach.

The team, I told Coach next time, get bigger trophies....

#1

Can't wait for next year!!!

End of school.

Ty's class had a cute play for the end of 3rd grade.  They all did such a great job and had a cast party afterwards.  He'll miss Mrs Gamble but it's nice knowing he'll have the same kids in his class at least the next 2 years because of GATE.

Saturday we spent the day at a lovely cabana by the pool at Agua Caliente.  The boys looked super excited afterwards.

Eric, Julie, Robb and I watched the Bradley/Pacquio fight at the Show at Agua.  It was sold out with tons of energy.

Eric's last week of school they have a party and this year he brought the boys.  There was a fire truck to spray, tug of war, jumpy water slides and lots of games.  They had so much fun!!

And what better way to end a Sunday evening after watching Avengers 3D than playing in the sprinklers???  Happy Summer!

Graduation, a party and some Power.

On Wednesday my babies graduated from Kiddie Kollege and are now officially first graders heading off to Katherine Finchy in the fall.  It was bittersweet, 4 great years there but time to move on.

So proud of my boys getting the math award, Ty got it 3 years ago too!

A little over the top but so awesome.

Showing off their awards and diplomas with their older brother.

I love these kids.  We have been friends forever and I have seen each one of them in the hospital when they were born.  We are so lucky to have made and maintain wonderful friendships here.  Zach, Dean, Mace, Ty, Luke, Zoe, Drew and Lola.  We are missing Peyton who had baseball that night, he was missed!!!

Friday Ty had his school buddies over for a pool party.  They had a blast and at one point I thought we were a little crazy having all those 9 year olds running like wild people all over but it was so worth it, and so much fun.

Pool, Jacuzzi and then....

Tackle football of course.

Saturday we had a family date night with the Sickenberger's.  We started out with a fantastic dinner at El Mirasol with yummy food and even yummier Margaritas!

Then we finished the night at the Palm Springs Power game.  They play here in the desert June and July.  Misters and all.  Thanks to Mark, Vern, Peyton and Drew for a great date night!  Ty got to run the bases with Rocky the Ram and won a dinner at Olive Garden, he was stoked.
