Lake Independence

The day the twins & I flew to Minnesota we had a quick dinner at grandma's then headed up to Lake Independence to spend the weekend with Jake and Kari and all of Jake's family.  It was heaven for the boys, their cousins were there, they could bike anywhere, swim, they had s'mores, lots of boys stuff with 8 boys 4-13!!! Ty and Will were like glue for 3 weeks. Luke & Nater tearing it up on bikes.Daddy giving the boys a slingshot lesson.Nate-cutest thing ever!!!They boys taking a break from the great outdoors for some video games.  Grandma got the boys matching shirts so we tried to get a good picture for her.  Luke challenged Jon to a duel of broom and Jill and I played a mean game of rings.  I won.

BWCA 2010

Boundary Waters Canoe Area 2010.  8 days, 3 canoes, 6 men, 1 seven year old and 1 dog on her last trip.Robb, Ty, Eric & Cali starting out. Zach during a portage.This is Ty's 5th year in the BW and the first year he carried his own backpack. So beautiful, I can see why so many people love this trip. Thanks to all the big guys for taking such good care of my little guy!! 

Summer Fun

Last Sunday we crashed the Sickenberger's Father's day event at the Power Game.  It was such a beautiful night to be outside watching baseball, and of course the company could not have been better!!Luke & Mace are so into each other, of course they have their moments but they have been wonderful brothers since Ty has been gone.  They call each other best friends.  Melts my heart...Today we went to a birthday at My Gym...now the boys want to have their party there. They had so much fun and tons of their friends from school were there.  A great day for all of us!

A busy, wonderful weekend!

On Friday after work Julie & I took off for San Diego.  We did some of my favorite things!!  We stopped at Miramonte Winery in Temecula and did a wine tasting then went on to Escondido for dinner at Stone Brewery.  The food once again was outstanding and we stayed in Escondido for the night.  Saturday morning we went to IKEA in San Diego, which has a wonderful playroom for kids so I could actually shop!

Afterwards it was on to Mission Beach for some play time.  Not a cloud in the sky, perfect temperature, big waves...loved every minute!And after all that fun, I got them both their very own huge ice creams.  A treat since we usually make them share! Happy boys!Saturday night my girls took me out for my birthday.  We had a blast hanging out at my house, Matchbox, a stop by a friend's party and rounding the night out with some pub action.These girls are seriously so much fun!!!!And yes, we made finger mustaches.  Court's was the best with the handle bars!  Thank you ladies for such a fun night out!!!

June....

The first week in June we had Ty's baseball team at our house for the party.  It was so fun seeing so many boys that were so into sports.  Ty had a great year and loved his team & coach. Go Irish!Eric took a day to go out on a friend's fishing boat to do what he loves best, killing fish!!Last weekend we went to the Crab Pot restaurant in Rancho Mirage with Posas.  Great food, horrible service!!  We all had fun despite the servers and the kids loved it, they keep asking to go back.Just in case anyone ever wonders why I don't post a lot of pictures of my husband, this is the usual response I get to 'smile!!!'(unless it involves fish or golf)...just saying..Auntie Julie being the best auntie ever..as always!!Sunday we had family day and took the boys to the water park .  They love it, i'm not so fond of the scary rides but I did make it on the toilet bowl one with Ty.  We had such a great day!!
