My boys

Last weekend was so nice in the morning I took the boys to the skatepark, they had a blast and Ty gets braver every day.

My Kindergarten Graduate. I missed graduation by about 1o minutes due to some traffic on the way home from LAX when I got back from Puerto Vallarta but Ty was just as excited to show me the video. He won the math award for his class and he was so excited!!!

The future Tony Hawk.

A very happy, sweaty Luke after taking off his helmet, ear to ear grin.

Kiddie Kollege Grad night with the Sickenbergers.

Camping at Big Bear

While I was off playing in Mexico Daddy of the year took the 3 boys and the doggy camping in Big Bear with some friends. Mace & Luke enjoyed eating cherries in the cool weather.
They did some good hikes....

Had some laughs...

Enjoyed everyone's company...

Warmed up against the cold...

Explored some caves....Eric said Luke was the bravest of the 3 when it came to dark caves.

A few more...

On Tuesday Jill & I entered the Blackjack tournament and cleaned everyone out. Here she is showing off her prize (or price).

Then it was time for some ping pong. There was always tons to do and that afternoon we played 5 games of volleyball in the pool. It was so much fun because most of the players were from our group.

There was this lovely trampoline out in the ocean you could swim out to, however, we never did because of these.....

At anytime of the day there were tons of mantarays swimming right in the surf & riding the waves in.

Does not look like my ideal swimming companion. Needless to say, we mostly stuck to the pool.

The Wedding

These are not in the correct order but after a very beautiful, very warm ceremony overlooking the ocean, the reception was in the shade and we had some good food, dancing & cake....oh & champagne & mango cocktails. Mr & Mrs enjoying some wedding cake.
Yup, we're dorks.
Gina's brother Sean fancies himself quite the ladies man. Are Jill & Monika smiling with him or at him???

A wedding toast.

What a beautiful view!!!

A little wedding mariachi music.

Me & My Girls.

Viva Puerto Vallarta!!

This past weekend I had the luck to go to a wedding in Puerto Vallarta of one of my closest girlfriends, and a husband that made it happen. I got to go play with my best girls for 4 days & he took the boys camping and took such good care of them. And when I got home I got this 'I'm so glad you had a great time, you should do things like that more often'. Who has the best husband ever??????

Sunday night two of the couples chartered a sunset cruise for the group. This is in front of our resort, Dreams. It was all-inclusive with so many things to do-kayaking, boccie ball, volleyball, yoga, tennis, blackjack.....etc. It was a ball.

Jill & I getting ready for the ride.

Monika, me, Jill & the bride Gina. We all went to NIU, were all Delta Gammas & at some point all roommates. I am so lucky to still have them as such great friends. All we were missing was Mihalko & Katie.

The sunsets were incredible.

Dinner our first night at one of the 4 restaurants.

The view from our balcony. I know, spoiled right?
Lots more pictures to come!!!

Weekend activities....

Not much this weekend. It was really really hot so the neighbors put up the water slide much to the delight of the kids. Mace was the only one a little unsure of it, I'm sure as the summer goes on he'll but going a mile a minute too.

A typical neighborhood evening....happy hour for the adults and play time for the kids.

On Saturday we had a party, this is the only picture I took. Drew was so cute with her huge smile riding around I couldn't resist getting the camera out.
I'm off to Mexico on Saturday with my very good friend JILL for a wedding of one of our college girlfiends & leaving my boys behind. I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!!

A birthday party & the museum

Saturday night Tash & Zolt had a party to celebrate both of their birthdays. There were lots of friends, lots of swimming & lots of fun.

The singing...

My good friend Laura from Merrill & her wonderful husband John.

Me & Mike. And ladies...he's single!!

Julie & her cousin David.

Saturday morning Julie & I took the kids to the Palm Springs Art Museum. They had lots of stations set up for kids & adults to try stuff out. This is Mace in the clay area.

Budding artist Luke & acrylics.

Oh, random-this was and early after breakfast swim in the morning.

A little charcoal drawing, a collective project between Mace & Luke.

Ty took his drawing very serious. We had a great time!!!

Best Mother's Day Ever!!!

These were the gifts I woke up to, necklaces made by Luke & Mace and a great picture of my big boy. I love them!!!

Since it was my day I got to choose what to do for the day and the boys have been asking for weeks if we can go to the beach so we all loaded up, Julie & Cali too, and went to Ocean Beach for the day. You can't beat the 30 degree cooler weather at the beach!!!

Everyone got into some crap hunting at the tidepools below Sunset Cliffs.

By the OB Pier.

Shell gathering, washing & throwing back in the waves was a favorite activity for Mace.

Luke preferred getting as many shells as he could and showing me every single one.

Poking sticks at unsuspecting crabs....then running yelling when they come out.

Dog beach on a Sunday, about 200 dogs, it was packed!!!!

Ty trying to humor me with a smile. You can almost see the 'Awwww, come on mom' in his grin.
Thanks to all my boys for such a wonderful day!!!! I'm so lucky!
